Join Carrie Vidal & Vanessa Staples for the final workshop in this series of five FREE workshops designed for beginners with no previous experience in textiles, where individuals and families can explore their creativity and experiment with new mediums in a safe and supportive environment. These workshops will be held from September through December and are made possible by a grant from the Community Foundation of Mendocino County.

If you are an experienced fiber artist and would like to be added to our waitlist please fill out the form and choose the option that states you have previous experience and we will notify you if spaces are open as we get closer to the class Choose up to 5 workshops.

Carrie Vidal, Art educator
Carrie Vidal is passionate about the idea that we are all artists. As an artist, teacher and psychotherapist, she blends her love of art making with her knowledge of psychology and the importance of creativity on our overall well-being. She works primarily with collage and mixed -media. Her love of textiles and stitching began as a little girl with a box of fabric scraps given to her by her mother. She lives on the Mendocino Coast with her husband and two daughters.

Vanessa Staples, Artist and Educator
Vanessa is an artist, maker and teacher with a soft spot for natural fibers and textiles. She knits, weaves, sews, embroiders and mends, and always travels with a project in her purse. A lover of the stories that vintage items hold, she uses found objects to inspire her work. Vanessa finds comfort in the process of creating and is excited about holding space for others to do the same.
