Class Description:
This class will teach students how to make unique sheets of handmade paper from Mulberry bark(kozo ). The process of growing, harvesting, cooking, clean- ing, and beating will be discussed. we will also work with recycled paper fibers from good quality paper. The class will emphasize the many strategies for pro- ducing one-of-a-kind sheets with inclusions, lace paper techniques, drawing pulp, and pulp coloring. Students may wish to bring dried flower petals, small leaves, or bits of yarn or string for inclusions
