This will be a trunk show where I use different ones of my quilts (both completed and in process) to illustrate the construction of a freehand collaged art quilt, I will discuss artistic principles such as composition, contrast and line… with a special emphasis on the use of perspective to achieve a believable sense of depth.
Laura has been an art quilter for about 30 years, and my pieces have been accepted in local, state and national shows including Quilt National, Visions and numerous SAQA global and regional shows. I teach art quilting classes and retreats all over the west coast. Mendocino County has been my home for all of my adult life, and is the inspiration for much of my art.
